How to convert PDF to Excel

  1. 1

Choose a PDF file on your computer or phone, or drop it into the box above.

  2. 2

Check that Excel is selected and press «Convert».

  3. 3

Download the Excel file. You can convert many files at once.

The converter looks through your PDF for tables and copies them into an XLSX workbook. Each table gets its own sheet. The rows and columns keep their values, so you can sort, add up or build formulas without retyping anything.

This is handy for invoices, bank statements, price lists and reports that came to you as a PDF. Instead of copying numbers by hand, you upload the file, wait for the conversion and open the workbook in Excel.

It works best with PDFs that contain real text. If your PDF is a scan or a photo, the tables are read with text recognition, so the result depends on how clear the page is.

Check the numbers after conversion. Merged cells and tables without lines can be split differently from the original, so a column may end up in a different place than you expect. A quick look through the sheets before you use the data saves trouble later.

Your file is sent to our servers over an encrypted connection. You can upload files up to 100 MB, and several at once. Each file is deleted automatically one hour after the conversion, and nobody looks at it.
